Welcome to Bexhill Choral Society!

We are a friendly, enthusiastic, non-audition choral society in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex.

We currently have over 50 members and warmly welcome new singers. Under our Director of Music, Kenneth Roberts, we perform 3 concerts during the year, featuring a wide range of choral music.

We also organise social events and have a thriving support group of Friends.

We held our ever-popular concert of Carols and Christmas Music for choir and audience on 11th December at St Barnabas Church, Sea Road.  Despite a rainy evening and the need for Covid precautions, the concert was attended by a large and enthusiastic audience, and it was a wonderful evening of live Christmas music which was enjoyed by all.

Rehearsals will restart (circumstances permitting!) on Wednesday 12th January at 7.00 p.m. at Little Common Community Centre, Shepherd’s Close, Little Common, Bexhill TN39 4SQ. We have a few new members joining us but would warmly welcome more – particularly tenors and basses, but all voices welcome!  Recent studies have shown that choral singing improves physical and mental health – it boosts the immune system, reduces stress, improves breathing and lung function, and releases hormones which create a sense of well-being.  So why not give it a go?

We will be rehearsing for a concert of ‘Great Choral Classics’ to be held on Saturday May 7th 2022 at the De La Warr Pavilion. (See Future Events.) If you’d like to come along and try us out, please email bexhillchoral@gmail.com or get in touch via our Contact page. We’d love to hear from you!
